How to Submit a DMCA Notice
If you are the owner of an exclusive copyright (or authorized to act for the owner) and believe that material available via the Otycourses service infringes your rights, please send a notice containing all of the following:
- Identification of the copyrighted work(s) claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are covered.
- Identification of the infringing material to be removed or disabled, with information reasonably sufficient for us to locate it (URLs on otycourses.com are best; please avoid sending screenshots alone).
- Your contact information: full name, organization (if any), mailing address, telephone, and email.
- Good-faith statement:
“I have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.” - Accuracy and authority statement (512(c)(3)):
“The information in this notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am the copyright owner or am authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.” - Signature: a physical or electronic signature (typing your full legal name is acceptable for electronic notices).
Send your complete notice to: [email protected]
Important: Under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), any person who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be liable for damages.
Our Response
Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, Otycourses will:
- Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material as quickly as reasonably possible, and
- Notify the user who posted the material that it has been removed or disabled.
Counter-Notification (Restoration of Content)
If you believe your removed content is not infringing (or you have authorization from the copyright owner, the owner’s agent, or the law), you may send a counter-notification to our DMCA Agent containing:
- Identification of the removed material and its former location (URL) on Otycourses.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the U.S., to the jurisdiction of any judicial district in which Otycourses may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notice or an agent of such person.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Send your counter-notification to: [email protected]
Unless the original complainant files an action seeking a court order against you, we may restore the material within 10–14 business days after receiving your counter-notification.
Repeat Infringer Policy
In appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, Otycourses may terminate accounts of users determined to be repeat infringers.
Fast-Track Removal Portal (for Rights Holders)
We maintain an optional fast-track takedown portal for verified rights holders and authorized DMCA agents to submit and manage removal requests (up to 100 URLs per batch).
To request access, email [email protected] with the subject “Rights Holder Portal Access” and provide:
- Proof of ownership or authorization (e.g., company email, link to official catalog, agency agreement), and
- Your full contact details.
Once verified, you’ll receive access instructions and conditions of use.
Additional Notes
- To help us act quickly, include direct Otycourses URLs (not just file names or screenshots).
- We may share the full DMCA notice (including your contact details) with the user who posted the material and with third parties as required to process the claim.
- This policy does not limit our ability to remove content or take other actions we deem appropriate.
